Biography

As a senior (2016-17)
• Played minutes in 22 games as a defensive specialist, averaging 0.3 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game.
• Earned a Senior Day start against Ivy champion Princeton in his final home game, grabbing two rebounds with a steal in a career-high 16 minutes against the Tigers.
• Posted an assist and a steal at Penn.
• Had two points and two rebounds in consecutive games against Brown and Yale.
• Had a rebound and an assist at Syracuse.
• Scored two points at Yale and had a point and two boards in the season-ending win at Brown.

As a junior (2015-16)
• Played in 16 contests as a junior in 2015-16, averaging 1.6 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists while shooting 71 percent from the floor.
• Career 63 percent shooter from the floor with a 2.7:1 assist-turnover ratio.
• Scored a career-high eight points with three rebounds and blocked the game-tying shot at the buzzer in the win at Howard.
• Scored six points with a rebound and an assist against Princeton, then picked up his first career start the following day vs. Penn.
• Had eight points, a rebound and an assist while hitting all four field goals at Yale.
• Missed the team’s first nine games due to injury.

As a sophomore (2014-15)
• Fleming played in 12 contests for a total of 26 minutes.
• Had four points, five assists and a rebound with just one turnover this season.
• Posted four points, four assists, a rebound and a steal in eight minutes against Alfred State.
• Played five minutes in the Big Red’s loss to South Carolina and also saw action in home wins over Canisius and UMass Lowell and at Syracuse.

As a freshman (2013-14)
• Fleming played in 17 contests as a rookie, primarily as a defensive specialist, and tallied four points, five rebounds and three assists in 57 total minutes.
• Fleming scored his first points in his first collegiate contest with a reverse layup at Colgate.
• He had a rebound and two assists at Harvard and notched two points and a rebound at St. Bonaventure.

At The Woodlands College Park HS
• Fleming earned first-team all-district and all-county honors after averaging 12.0 points, 3.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game as a senior at The Woodlands College Park HS.
• A preseason top 100 player on the Guy V. Lewis Award Watch List as the top player in the city of Houston, he also earned academic all-district accolades.
• As a junior on a 30-8 squad, Fleming averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 assists per contest and was named honorable mention all-district.
• He was a three-year letter winner on the varsity.
• Fleming also competed in track and field during his high school career

• Alton Desmond Fleming is the son of Alton Jay and Javese Fleming and has an older and younger sister.
• His cousin Drew played football at Yale, while his cousin Edward Baldwin competed in track and field at North Carolina.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
