A skilled big man who brings tremendous passion and energy to the court, Foote can score in the post and is an exceptional passer for his size. He will also run the court in transition. A fan favorite at Newman Arena, Foote has good footwork in the post offensively, and on defense has the timing to block a shot and rebound well in and out of his area. Foote is constantly improving as he continues to compete after two and a half years without playing competitively.

As a Senior
Foote was a unanimous first-team All-Ivy League pick and garnered the league’s Defensive Player of the Year honor for the second straight year. The conference’s leading field goal percentage shooter (.633) and rebounder (8.1) also ranked second in blocked shots (1.9). The 7-0 center averaged 12.4 points and 2.3 assists on the offensive end. He anchored a defense that allowed opponents to shoot just 42 percent from the floor and outrebounded opponents by more than three boards per contest. The three-time Ivy League Player of the Week in 2009-10 was especially effective against high major opponents, recording 19 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks at St. John’s; 17 points, seven rebounds and three blocks at Alabama; 12 points and 10 rebounds at Syracuse; and 12 points, six rebounds and three assists at Kansas. He posted 16 points and seven rebounds vs. Temple and another 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists against Wisconsin.  Foote was named the tournament MVP at the MSG Holiday Festival and served as a team tri-captain.

As a junior
Foote was a repeat selection on the All-Ivy second team and captured the first Defensive Player of the Year honor in conference history. The Ivy League's leading rebounder (7.2) and shot-blocker (2.1 bpg.), Foote was among the team leaders in scoring (third, 11.8 ppg.) and assists (fourth, 2.3 apg.) while starting 30 contests for the Big Red. The two-time Ivy League Player of the Week's 64 blocked shots ranked second on the school's single-season list and 38th in Division I, but it was his versatility and ability to alter shots that was just as important. Besides the blocks, Foote had 12 steals and took nine charges on the season and guarded everyone from Ivy Player of the Year, Dartmouth's Alex Barnett, a small forward, to Brown's first-team selection, center Matt Mullery. He ranked in the top 10 in six statistical categories among Ivy League players. Foote had three double-doubles and was second on the team with 20 double-figure scoring efforts. Foote had a career-high 25 points in the win over La Salle, had 20 points, seven rebounds and five blocks against St. John's, and notched 19 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots vs. Loyola (MD). Overall, he averaged 16.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.5 blocked shots in four games in the NIT Preseason Tip-Off. He closed out the year with 12 points and 10 rebounds against eventual NCAA quartefinalist Missouri in the NCAA first round.

As a sophomore
Foote emerged quietly as a force to be reckoned with in the post after not playing basketball in two and a half years and earned second-team All-Ivy honors. The 7-0 center ended the season averaging 7.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots per game while playing in 22 games off the bench. He shot 55 percent from the floor in 21.5 minutes per game. Foote ranked fifth in the Ivy League in rebounding and third in blocked shots overall, while ranking third in defensive rebounding (4.45) and fourth in offensive rebounding (1.82). He ended the season with 11 double-figure scoring and four double-figure rebounding games to go along with four double-doubles. He paced the team in rebounding in 10 of his 22 contests. The junior had a career-best 18 points in a win over Princeton and notched double-doubles in Ivy play against Yale, Penn and Dartmouth. Foote opened his career in fine fashion, posting 10 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and two steals in a loss at Bucknell.

At St. Bonaventure
Foote spent a year and a half at St. Bonaventure University, making the team as a walk-on during the fall of 2005-06. He redshirted his freshman season before leaving the program prior to the 2006-07 campaign. He will be eligible to compete on Dec. 19 at Bucknell.

At Spencer-Van Etten HS
Foote was a four-year letterwinner at Spencer-Van Etten HS, averaging 15 points, 13 rebounds and six blocked shots per game as a senior. He was a first-team all-league selection and was picked to play in the section’s Exceptional Senior All-Star game. Foote averaged over three blocks per game during his prep career and set a league record for rejections in a season. He also lettered once each in football and soccer.
