Biography
In 2013-14 (junior)
Tomic averaged 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game while playing just 8.3 minutes per game in 27 contests as a reserve. He hit on 52 percent of his shots from the floor. Tomic had a career-high 20 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots while hitting 9-of-13 shots from the floor in 22 minutes off the bench against Oberlin, one of three double figure scoring games on the season. He added 12 points with four rebounds at Dartmouth and scored 11 points with seven rebounds and two steals at home against Columbia. He scored six points in just five minutes of action at Colgate and matched that with six points at both Stony Brook and St. Bonaventure. Tomic had six points and five rebounds in 16 minutes in the season finale against Penn.
In 2012-13 (sophomore)
Tomic played in 13 contests for a total of 23 minutes with eight points and eight rebounds. Tomic had two points in the win at Yale and two points and a rebound in the return trip against the Bulldogs. He played two minutes against Presbyterian, hitting his only field goal attempt for two points and had two points and a rebound in the win over Old Westbury. Tomic saw a career-best six minutes against Stony Brook, recording one rebound and grabbed one board at Duke.
In 2011-12 (freshman)
Tomic played in three contests, scoring two points and grabbing a rebound in seven minutes of action. He played three minutes off the bench in his collegiate debut against St. Bonaventure, recording an offensive rebound. Tomic saw three minutes of action against Albright, including hitting his first career field goal.
At North Royalton HS
Tomic was named league MVP as a senior at North Royalton HS and was named honorable mention all-state. He averaged 22.3 point and 12.3 rebounds as a senior after posting 22.0 points and 11.6 rebounds a night as a junior. A two-time all-district pick, Tomic was part of a division and sectional title-winning team during his junior year. He was named to the academic All-Ohio team as both a junior and senior.
Personal
Nenad Tomic is the son of Rade and Sladjana Tomic and has a younger brother. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
