Missed the entire season after offseason shoulder surgery.

In 2012-13 (sophomore)
Miller earned first-team All-Ivy League honors after averaging 11.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.9 steals, 1.9 blocks and 0.9 assists in 27 starts. He shot 48 percent from the floor and 79 percent from the free-throw line. Miller posted 18 double figure games and four double-doubles on the season. He led the Ivy League in defensive rebounding (5.5 per game) and was third in blocks and second in steals. He joined Ivy League Player of the Year Ian Hummer as the conference's only players to rank in the top 10 in the Ancient Eight in scoring, rebounding blocks and steals.An all-tournament selection at the Las Vegas Invitational, Miller had some monster games during the season, including a 23-points, 10-rebound effort against Princeton. He dominated in the win over Colgate with career highs of 20 points and 14 rebounds to go along with four blocks and three steals and notched 15 points, seven blocked shots and five steals in the win over Dartmouth. Miller became the first player in Cornell history to notch at least five blocks and five steals in a single game. He was named Ivy League Player of the Week once during the season.

In 2011-12 (freshman)
Miller became the seventh Cornellian to take home Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors and the fourth in the last seven years, after establishing new Cornell rookie records for rebounds (170) and blocked shots (46) while taking home the conference's Rookie of the Week honor five times. He also ranked among the top 10 freshman scorers in school history with 250 points. The 6-7 Miller ranked eighth in the Ivy League in rebounding and steals and was second in blocks. Miller ended the season averaging 8.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game while starting in 21 of the team's 28 contests. He shot 44 percent from the floor, including 51 percent from inside the 3-point arc. Miller had three double-doubles, five double digit rebounding games and nine contests in double figure scoring. He recorded 19 points and eight rebounds in a win over Binghamton and notched 15 points and 11 rebounds against Penn State. Miller also scored 19 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked four shots against Penn, scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds at Dartmouth and tallied 17 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had two steals in the win at Brown.

At St. Ignatius HS
Miller was an all-district and honorable mention all-state pick as a senior at St. Ignatius HS. Despite missing time due to injury in his final campaign, Miller still averaged 15.1 points and was invited to compete in the Greater Cleveland All-Star Game. As a junior, he averaged 13.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest in leading his team to a district title. He shot 63 percent from the field and 86 percent from the free-throw line. Hoop Scoop online named Miller one of the top 20 players in Ohio prior to his senior year. The three-year letter winner was an academic all-star as both a junior and senior. Miller played for the LeBron James' sponsored King James Shooting Stars AAU team.

Shonn DeVante' Miller is the son of Shawn and Stephanie Williams and has an older sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
