Senior Season - 2009-10
Gallagher had a breakout season as a senior, leading the team with 18 goals and adding 19 assists for a team-best 37 points. Gallagher finished his career with 100 career points, ranking him tied for 46th all-time in career scoring at Cornell. He got off to a sizzling start, scoring at least one point in nine of his first 10 games, scoring 17 points over that span. Gallagher had 11 multi-point games on the season, including a high of four points with one goal and an assist on Jan. 30 in the win against Clarkson. He had a pair of power-play goals on Nov. 6 against Dartmouth, then scored a goal and an assist the next night against Harvard. He had back-to-back games with three points, scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist on Nov. 14 at Brown and on Nov. 20 in Princeton. Gallagher scored four game-winning goals on the season, including the game-winner in the series clinching victory against Harvard on March 13 in the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals. Gallagher was named first-team All-Ivy League for his play during the season. He finished the season with 12 minutes in penalties and had a +15 rating.
Junior Season - 2008-09
Gallagher established himself as a key playmaker for the Big Red as a junior, a year that saw him earn second-team All-Ivy League honors. He finished the season tied for 64th in the country in assists per game, averaging 0.60 per contest. He came on strong at the end of the season, as the month of February saw him record a point in all eight games, totaling 11 points over that span. He scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Brown on Feb. 28, a goal that gave Cornell second place in the regular season standings. He suffered an injury in game two of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series against Rensselaer, but, after missing game three, played on a badly sprained ankle during both the ECAC Hockey championship weekend and at the NCAA Midwest Regional. At the regional, he scored the Big Red's first goal to start the rally in the semifinal against Northeastern. Gallagher proved to be a potent threat on the power play, as five of his seven goals on the year came on the man advantage. He set career highs in goals, assists and points on the year, recording six multi-point games on the season, three of those coming during the month of February. He also was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Florida College Classic after recording a goal and two assists, as well as scoring a goal in the championship-deciding shootout. Gallagher also proved to be the team's top faceoff man, winning nearly 100 more faceoffs than he lost for a 59.2 percent win rate.

Sophomore Season - 2007-08
Gallagher continued to make have a presence on the offensive end of the ice for the Big Red as he posted 17 points in his sophomore season. He had a stretch of four straight games with a point in late February, tallying a goal and five assists over that span as Cornell went 2-2. He scored six goals as a sophomore, doubling his output from his first season, with four of the six goals coming on the power play. Gallagher had a goal and an assist in the series-clinching win over Union on March 15 and scored the team's only goal in the loss at Harvard on Nov. 16. Gallagher came on strong in the second half of the season, tallying 15 of his 17 points after the calendar turned to January.
Freshman Season - 2006-07
Gallagher made an immediate impact in his first season at Cornell, registering 18 points on three goals and 15 assists. He had a three games with three assists, first tallying a trio of helpers in the win over New Hampshire on Dec. 29 in Estero, Fla. He later repeated the feat on Feb. 10 at Rensselaer and again the following week in the 8-4 win against Princeton on Senior Night at Lynah Rink. Gallagher also proved his worth in the faceoff circle, winning 67 percent of the faceoffs he took. He scored the game-winning goal in the season-opener against Robert Morris, and scored one of the two unassisted goals on the year.
Before Cornell
Gallagher played for the Notre Dame Hounds of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League where he scored 32 goals and added 27 assists for 59 points in 55 games. He led all rookies in goals scored and was third in rookie points in the SJHL. Gallagher was also selected to Team West for the Top Prospects game by the CJAHL. Gallagher also won a bronze medal while serving as assistant captain for Team Atlantic at the U-17 World tournament.
Personal
Jonathon Blake Gallagher is the son of Carol and Paul Gallagher and he has two older sisters. His father played hockey for St. Lawrence in the late `70s. Gallagher is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
