Lyle Gregory

Gregory joined the Big Red in advance of the 2014-15 season, helping the team to an 11-14-6 record. He helped mold the team's goalies to a cumulative goals-against average of 2.15, which was the lowest posted by the program in five years.

Prior to his time at Cornell, Gregory served as an intern at the NHL Entry Draft from 2011-14, and he was the lead intern from 2012-14 for the scouting combine run by the NHL’s Central Scouting Service.

Gregory was also a business and technology intern with Video Scout for two years, where he field-tested new scouting technology and patent-pending player evaluation tools. He has also worked as a freelance scout for NHL draft eligible prospects and college scholarship recruits. He filmed and acquired scout-specific video for NHL teams during the 2013 USA National Junior Team Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Originally from Connecticut, Gregory has served as a goalie coach and assistant coach for Yale Youth Hockey, the Arkansas Hockey Association and ProCrease. Gregory earned a degree in philosophy from Hendrix College in Arkansas, where he also competed on the men’s lacrosse team.
