Biography

Senior Season - 2008-09
Barlow broke through as a key offensive threat as a senior, setting career highs in goals, points and assists, while ranking among the nation's leaders in game-winning goals. He capped his season by being named to the NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament team after scoring the game-winning goal in the regional semifinal against Northeastern with just under 15 seconds to play. He finished the season ranked tied for fourth with six game-winning goals and was tied for 39th with seven power-play goals. Barlow also ranked tied for  87th in the nation by averaging 0.37 goals per game. He picked up five multi-point games on the year, including the first two-assist game of his career on Nov. 13 at Colgate, before picking up another on Feb. 21 against Union. He scored a highlight-reel quality goal against Princeton in the ECAC Hockey semifinals, going end-to-end through the Tiger defense to draw Cornell to within one before the Big Red ultimately won the game in double overtime. He closed out his career with 10 points in his final 10 games, including nine goals over that span. Barlow also became the latest player to attempt a penalty shot when he was stopped by Quinnipiac's Nick Pisellini on Nov. 8.

Career Highs
Junior Season - 2007-08
Barlow posted career-highs in goals and assists as a junior, finding the back of the net six times and tallying 10 assists for a career-best 17 points. He had three multi-point games as a junior, including his first career three-point game with two goals and an assist against Niagara on Jan. 4. Barlow scored a goal in both of the Big Red's first two home games, helping Cornell to a split against Princeton and Quinnipiac. He had a four-game point streak spanning from Jan. 25 against Brown through Feb. 2 at Colgate, helping Cornell to a 3-0-1 record over that span while collecting a goal and four assists. His two goals against Niagara on Jan. 4 tied his career high, originally set on Nov. 3, 2006, at Brown. Barlow appeared in 31 of the Big Red's 36 games as a junior.

Sophomore Season - 2006-07
During his sophomore season, he posted six goals and five assists to break double-digits in points for the first time in his Cornell career. He had his first two-goal game of his career on Nov. 3 at Brown, scoring the game's first goal and the game-winner. He later added a game-winning goal in the shutout victory over Quinnipiac on Feb. 16.

Freshman Season - 2005-06
Barlow came on strong at the end of his freshman season, scoring the game's first goal in the game one win over Clarkson in the ECACHL Quarterfinals at Lynah Rink. He also opened his freshman season with a bang, recording an assist in each of his first three contests - twice against Michigan State and once against Yale.

Before Cornell
Barlow had a decorated career in junior hockey. While playing for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, he was a member of the BCHL Interior Conference championship squad. He was a first-team AMHL All-Star and led the UFA Bisons in scoring. Barlow was also a three-time SCAHL all-star.

Personal
Evan Edward Barlow is the son of Allan and Laurel Barlow. He has an older brother and two older sisters. Barlow is enrolled in Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
