Career Statistics

At Cornell
Junior (2012): In his first season with the Big Red, English saw action in all 13 games and made 11 starts as a junior. He ranked second on the team in goals (20) and was fourth overall in both points (28) and assists (8).  English registered at least one point in all 13 games on the season, scoring in 12-of-13 contests. He finished with a career-high three goals at Penn and registered a personal best five points in his first career start against Canisius. English also picked up 18 ground balls and caused one turnover on the season. 

Prior to Cornell
English played for two seasons at the University of Virginia, seeing action in 28 games and making five starts during the 2011 season. He tallied 15 goals and two assists in his two seasons with UVA and helped the Cavaliers to the 2011 national championship, taking the spotlight at the end of the title game as he came on at the end of the contest to help Virginia run out the clock in its 9-7 win over Maryland.

At Manhasset High School
A four-year letter winner at Manhasset high school, English finished his career with 189 goals and 67 assists. Inside Lacrosse had him listed as the No. 7 recruit overall in the country and the No. 3 attackman following his prep career. The 2009 Long Island Player of the Year, English was a two-time All-American and player in the Under Armour All-American game. He led all of Long Island in scoring in 2009 and helped the Indians to win the New York State championship with a record-tying nine-goal performance in the title game vs. LaFayette, earning him tournament MVP honors. That same season English also matched the school’s season goal scoring record with 81 goals and 20 assists. He was a three-time all-county selection, was named the 2008 Nassau County Attackman of the Year and won two gold medals in the Empire State games. English was also a three-time academic all-county selection.
 
Personal
Connor English is the son of Rob and Chris English and he has an older brother and an older sister. His grandfather, Bob English, was an accomplished runner and at one point held the United States record in the mile relay. English is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
