Cornell University Athletics

As a junior (2017)
• Saw action in all 13 games during his junior season as a member of the team’s defensive midfield.
• Picked up 13 ground balls, including a season-high three vs. Syracuse and Lehigh.
• Caused five turnovers on the season, including a season-high two vs. Princeton.
• Scored vs. Virginia and handed out an assist vs. Lehigh.

As a sophomore (2016)
• Saw a jump in playing time during his sophomore season, playing in six games, including the final four games of the year.
• After playing on attack vs. Penn State and Dartmouth, found a regular role on the Big Red’s defensive midfield and registered his first collegiate goal in a 10-9 overtime win vs. Syracuse.
• Picked up six ground balls and caused one turnover on the season.

As a freshman (2015)
• Saw action in nine games during his rookie season.
• Picked up two ground balls vs. Canisius. He picked up two ground balls vs. the Golden Griffins. 
 
At Half Hollow Hills High School
• Four-year letter winner at Half Hollow Hills high school.
• Served as team captain his senior campaign, earning team MVP honors following the season.
• Finished his career with 198 points and was named the James C. Metzger Most Outstanding Player Award winner, while earning all-county and all-division honors in 2014.
• Was an Academic All-American and graduated in the top 20 of his class at Half Hollow Hills.
• Was selected as a Hotbeds tournament all-star in 2013 after earning Suffolk County A all-division honors in 2012.
• Received the 2013 Fran McCall Unsung Hero Award and was named an all-star of the 2012 Philly Showcase Fab Forty and the Whiz Kids Camp.
• Lettered twice in football, serving as team captain as a senior. 
 
Personal
• Daniel James Bockelman is the son of Ken and Roxanne Bockelman and he has one brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
