Biography

Career:
A transfer from the University of Virginia, Pittard finished his Cornell career as an All-American and two-time All-Ivy pick. He became the 33rd player in Cornell history to reach the 100-point plateau, a feat that’s even more impressive given the fact that he did it in just two seasons with the Big Red. He started all 30 games of his career and finished with 49 goals and 57 assists for 106 points. Following graduation, he was selected in the fifth round of the Major League Lacrosse draft, chosen by the Washington Bayhawks with the 44th overall pick.

At Cornell:
Pittard was named a second-team All-American and a first-team All-Ivy selection following a senior season in which he led the Big Red in points (65) and assists (33), while ranking second overall in goals (32). He finished the year with the longest point-scoring streak on the team, and seventh-longest streak in the nation, registering at least one point in each of the 30 contests that he played in for the Big Red, dating back to the 2006 season opener vs. Binghamton. Pittard finished the year ranked fifth in the nation with 2.06 assists per game, sixth overall with 4.06 points per game and 29th overall with 2.00 goals per game. With his five assists vs. Albany in the second round of the 2007 NCAA tournament, Pittard moved into third place in Cornell history for assists in a single NCAA tournament game. His seven points during the game was good for eighth in Big Red history for points in a single NCAA game. After an outstanding junior season, Pittard was named honorable mention All-Ivy for the Big Red. He led the team in assists with 24 and ranked 13th in the nation with 1.71 assists per game. He registered at least one helper in 12 of the Big Red's 14 games and posted a season-best four assists vs. Lehigh. Pittard also scored 17 goals to give him 41 points on the season, good for second on the team. He was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on March 27 as he was instrumental in Cornell's 11-7 win over No. 2 Duke and its 16-6 victory over Yale. Against the Blue Devils, Pittard registered a career-high three goals, including the game-winner, all of which came in the critical fourth quarter when the Big Red broke a 6-6 stalemate to take the victory. In Cornell's Ivy League opener vs. the Bulldogs, Pittard tallied a career-high six points with three goals and a game-high three assists to lead the Big Red to victory.

At Virginia:
A reserve attackman, Pittard saw limited action at the University of Virginia, mostly on the team's man-up unit.

At the Hotchkiss School:
Pittard played one season for the Hotchkiss School and won the Stuart Lindsay Award as the attackman of the year in New England in 2003, while also being named first-team All-Western New England.

At Skaneateles:
A high school All-American and three-time letter winner at Skaneateles HS, Pittard finished his career as the school record holder in points (332), goals (180) and assists (152). He was named first-team All-CNY as a senior and second-team as a junior, and was a two-time first-team all-league selection. Pittard was named team MVP as a senior and won a silver medal with the Western New York Empire State team in 2002.
