Biography
Career:
Vedder came to Cornell as a highly regarded goalie, but made the move to long stick midfielder before his sophomore season, and from that time he developed into one of the best poles in the country. A two-time All-Ivy pick, he saw action in every game during his final two seasons.

At Cornell:
Vedder saw action in all 16 games during his senior season, earning 14 starts. He registered three goals, three assists and 48 ground balls while earning first-team All-Ivy honors. Vedder tallied a career-high two goals vs. Brown and added another vs. Binghamton. He registered assists vs. Penn, Princeton and Towson. As a junior, Vedder started all 14 contests, earning All-Ivy honorable mention honors at the long pole. He finished the season ranked second on the team with 41 ground balls. He scored his first collegiate goal vs. Army and added his lone assist of the season vs. Dartmouth. Vedder also picked up a career-high six ground balls against Yale. As a sophomore, Vedder saw action in 12 games, picking up six ground balls during the season and registering his first collegiate assist vs. Harvard.

At Yorktown:
Vedder was the captain and starting goaltender for Yorktown HS where he earned All-America honors. In 2003, Vedder led his squad to a New York state championship. He also played on the Hudson Valley Empire State lacrosse team. Vedder was also the captain of the Yorktown soccer team and competed in the 4x800 relay for the indoor track squad.

Personal:
Ethan Heller Vedder is the son of Bill Weber and Amy Vedder and is enrolled in Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences. He has an older brother, Noah. His grandfather, Charles Vedder, graduated from Cornell in 1942.
