Biography
• Second-Team All-Ivy (2014)At Cornell
Junior (2014): Hogan was named a second-team All-Ivy selection after an outstanding junior campaign in which he took a huge leap in productivity. A player with a high lacrosse IQ, he ranked first on the team in assists (22) and sixth in the Ivy League in assists per game (1.44). Hogan also added 17 goals to rank four ton the team with 40 points. He was particularly impressive in Ivy League play, registering at least two points in all six conference games, including five-point performances vs. Penn and Harvard and four-point games vs. Dartmouth and Brown. Hogan also picked up 26 ground balls and caused two turnovers.
Sophomore (2013): Hogan saw a significant jump in playing time during his sophomore season, moving onto the second offensive midfield and playing in all 18 games. He registered 10 goals, including a season-high two tallies vs. Hobart and Brown, and handed out one assist against Dartmouth. Hogan also picked up eight ground balls and caused four turnovers on the season.
Freshman (2012): Hogan saw action in three games during his rookie season, playing against Army, Canisius and Yale in the Ivy League tournament. He took two shots against the Golden Griffins and scored one goal.
Prior to CornellHogan lettered three times at St. Mary’s HS before attending the Deerfield Academy for a post-graduate season. As a senior captain he was named first-team all-county, first team All-Metropolitan Baltimore, first-team All-MIAA, honorable mention All-Metropolitan Washington and ESPN RISE honorable mention. Hogan was the team’s leading scorer as a junior and was named second-team all-county as a result. He was also named to the UnderArmour Underclassman team and the Maryland Freestate team. In his one season at Deerfield, Hogan was named All-New England.
PersonalJohn Patrick Hogan is the son of Matt and Cece Hogan and he has one younger sister. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
