At Cornell
Junior (2015):
Schattner was hampered by an injury midway through the season, but still saw action in 13 games as the team’s top short-stick defensive midfielder. He finished the season with seven ground balls and four caused turnovers. Schattner also handed out one assist vs. Albany during the regular season.

Sophomore (2014): Schattner saw action in all 16 games during his sophomore season as a do-it-all midfielder. He played primarily as one of the team’s starting short-stick defenders, but also played long stick on the team’s man-down unit, and occasionally ran on the second offensive midfield. He scored his first collegiate goal vs. Canisius. Schattner also picked up four ground balls on the year.

Freshman (2013): Schattner saw solid playing time during his rookie season, playing in 16 games as a member of the Big Red’s defensive midfield and face-off unit. He finished the year with eight ground balls, including a season-high two against Maryland in the NCAA tournament, and one caused turnover. Schattner also won 7-of-16 face offs (.438), and registered two assists on the season, handing out one against Colgate and one against Princeton in the Ivy League tournament.

At West Genesee
A high school All-American, Schattner lettered three times at West Genesee high school. He helped the Wildcats to a state championship in 2010 and back-to-back Section 3 championships in 2010 and 2011. Schattner served as team captain as a senior and was named first-team all-league that same season. As a junior, he was selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Underclassman game and was named both first-team all-league and second-team All-CNY. Schattner also lettered four times in ice hockey, helping West Genesee to four consecutive Section 3 championships, and earning second-team all-league honors as an assistant captain during his senior season.
