Biography

At Cornell
Sophomore (2015):
D’Antonio saw a significant jump in playing time during his sophomore season, playing in all 16 games and making 15 starts on a defensive unit that ranked second in the Ivy League by allowing just 9.94 goals per game. The defense was even better against conference opponents, ranking first in the league by allowing just 8.60 goals per contest. D’Antonio finished the season with seven ground balls and five caused turnovers. He had a season-high two ground balls at Virginia and caused a season-high two turnovers vs. Dartmouth.

Freshman (2014): D’Antonio had a solid rookie season, playing in 12 games on the Big Red defense. He caused three ground balls and picked up one ground ball on the year. 

At Garden City HS
A three-year letter winner at Garden City high school, D'Antonio led the Trojans to back-to-back New York State Class B Championships in 2012 and 2013, following a runner-up finish in 2011. As a senior captain, he earned the Garden City Thomas B. Nolan award, given for dedication and hard work. D'Antonio was named All-Nassau County in 2013 and won the Jay Gallagher Memorial Award, given to the outstanding defensive player in the Nassau County Championship game. As a junior, he earned Nassau County Academic All-Conference accolades. D'Antonio also lettered three times in football and three times in track and field. On the gridiron, he helped Garden City to a Long Island championship as a senior after a pair of runner-up finishes. He was named a first-team all-state linebacker and was named to the National Football Foundation Nassau County Golden Eleven, which recognizes 11 players for outstanding academic and athletic achievement. As a long jumper, D'Antonio was named all-conference in 2011 and 2013.

Personal
Scott Griffin D'Antonio is the son of John and Ronda D'Antonio and he has one older brother and one younger sister. His cousin, Sarah D'Antonio, is currently a Ph.D candidate in Cornell's Linguistics program. D'Antonio is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
