All-Ivy League Second Team, doubles (2019)

As a senior (2019-20)

Dual season
• Went 7-1, with a 1-0 record at No. 2, a 2-0 record at No. 5 and a 4-1 record at No. 6 singles.
• Tied for the team-high in doubles victories with a 6-4 record, including a 2-0 mark at No. 1 and a 4-4 mark at No. 2.
• Opened te season 7-0 in singles play with a win over #96 Patrick Maloney of Michigan, 6-1, 7-5.
Fall tournaments
• Went 2-1 at Harvard's Chowder Fest.

As a junior (2018-19)

Dual season
• Went 13-8 in singles to tie for the team lead in victories with Lev Kazakov.
• Led the team in doubles victories with an 11-7 record playing at both No. 1 and No. 2.
• Played doubles with David Volfson, Jake Hansen and Konstantin Korovski.
Fall tournaments
• Went 2-2 overall in Fall singles at the Ivy-Plus and ITA Northeast Regional.
• Saw doubles success in the Fall with a 4-1 record the at the ITA Northeast Regional where he paired with David Volfson to reach the championship match.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Competed for two years at Wisconsin, earning All-Big 10 first team honors in 2018.
• Clinched the Badgers' NCAA tournament victory over San Diego in 2017 with a three-set victory in singles.
• Led the team in 2017-18 dual singles victories with an 18-6 record, primarily from the No. 3 position.
• Was 12-5 when paired with Osgar O'Hoisin for Wisconsin's primary No. 2 doubles entry in 2017-18.
• Had 26-11 singles record in 2016-17, giving him most wins by a Wisconsin freshman since 1990.
• Prior to Wisconsin tenure, was named a four-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network.
• Finished high school career ranked 75th in his recruiting class.
 

Personal

• Daniel Soyfer is the son of Michael and Mazhenna Soyfer, and he has an older sister who competed on the tennis team at Boston University.
• Father-in-law and brother-in-law are both Cornell graduates with degrees in engineering.
• Enrolled in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
