Allison Abt Career Statistics
• Ivy League All-Rookie Team selection (2009)
An extremely tough player, Abt has been hampered by injuries since arriving on campus. After seeing limited action as a rookie because of a myriad of injuries, she also had her sophomore season cut short. When healthy, Abt is a versatile player with great size that can be effective in the post, as well as beyond the arc.
At Cornell
Sophomore (2009-10): Abt struggled with injuries all year long and as a result, saw action in just seven games on the season. She played a total of 31 minutes, scored six points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Freshman (2008-09): Despite missing the final four games of the season due to an injury, Abt was impressive enough in her freshman year to earn a unanimous selection to the Ivy League All-Rookie team. She finished the year with 6.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, but saw both those numbers increase significantly during conference action, scoring 8.6 points and pulling down 3.4 rebounds per game against Ancient Eight opponents. She saw action in 16 games, starting the final three games before her injury. Abt led the team in scoring twice and registered double-digit points in four straight Ivy League games – Penn (17), Harvard (10), Dartmouth (11) and Yale (20). She was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Feb. 22 after leading the Big Red to a pair of victories against Yale and Brown. Against the Bulldogs, she went 7-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-5 from three-point range for a career-high 20 points, while grabbing three rebounds and blocking one shot. The next night against the Bears, Abt scored eight points and pulled down a game- and career-high eight rebounds, while handing out one assist and blocking one shot.
At Connelly School of the Holy Child
A four-year varsity letter winner,Abt started all four seasons at the Connelly School of the Holy Child. A 6-0 guard/forward and a prolific scorer, she finished her high school basketball career as one of the schools all-time leaders in scoring and rebounding. A first-team All-Independent Schools League selection, Abt will bring a hard nosed playing style and great knowledge of the game to the team. She averaged 13.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as team captain during her senior. She was named a Scholar Athlete award winner, and earned her team’s Coach’s Award following her senior season.
