At Cornell
Elliott joined the Big Red women’s basketball staff in the summer of 2017. A seven-year veteran of the collegiate coaching ranks, Elliott works primarily with the Big Red’s post players, while assisting in all facets of recruiting, scouting and alumnae development.
In his two seasons, Elliott has helped Laura Bagwell-Katalinich to become just the 11th first-team selection in Big Red women's basketball history.
Prior to Cornell
Elliott spent two seasons as the recruiting coordinator with the University of Denver. During that time, he brought in a class that earned honorable mention accolades from Blue Star Basketball, including a pair of Adidas 3-Stripe All-Americans and ESPN’s No. 50 ranked wing player.
Elliott joined the Pioneers in June of 2015 after serving two seasons at Division III Knox College, first as an assistant and then as the associate head coach. In his two seasons with the Prairie Fire program, Elliott proved his recruiting prowess, bringing 19 players into the program. He also assisted in all daily basketball activities, including player development, strength and conditioning and travel.
Before Elliott's time at Knox College he coached at Ivy League foe Columbia during the 2012-13 season. His responsibilities at Columbia included recruiting, post and guard development, half-court team defense, designing and directing the preseason conditioning program for all players, film breakdown and exchange, as well as organizing and directing Columbia women's basketball clinics for underprivileged youth in the New York City area.
Prior to arriving at Columbia, Elliott was a graduate assistant coach at Division III powerhouse St. John Fisher College from 2010 and 2012. He helped lead the Cardinals to two straight appearances in the conference tournament, the best conference record (12-4) in five years, and a runner-up finish in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Metro postseason tournament. As the program’s lead recruiter, he brought in the 2012 ECAC and Empire 8 Rookie of the Year, Portia Velasco, as well as three-time all-conference and All-East Region selection, Mary Cusack.
