Biography
As a junior (2019-20)
• Made 12 appearances during her junior campaign.
• Put points on the board against UAlbany on Nov. 8 and Niagara on Nov. 21.
• Grabbed a season-best three rebounds against NJIT on Nov. 16.
• Blocked two shots against St. Bonaventure on Dec. 29.
• Scored four points, collected nine boards, notched five assists, and stuffed three shots on the season.
As a sophomore (2018-19)
• Missed a large portion of the 2018-19 season due to illness.
• Played in nine games on the year, including seven Ivy League contests.
• Scored two points and grabbed two rebounds vs. Princeton in the Ivy League Tournament semifinal.
As a freshman (2017-18)
• Started the most games of any freshman during the season, getting the nod in 10 contests.
• Earned her first career start at Pitt.
• Played in 25 games and averaged 15.3 minutes per contest.
• Posted a team-high 18 blocked shots, good for eighth in the Ivy League.
• Ranked third on the team with 3.8 rebounds per game.
• Led Cornell in rebounding five times, including a season-high 10 boards vs. Lafayette.
• The first forward off the bench in four Ivy League contests.
Prior to Cornell
• Earned four varsity letters in basketball for The Episcopal Academy.
• Was named the 2016-17 Interac League Most Valuable Players.
• A two-time first-team Interac League selection.
• Was a three-time All Delaware County honoree, including a first-team selection as a senior.
• Led Episcopal Academy in scoring as a junior.
• Won the school’s Mind, Body, Spirit Prize for basketball, given to the athlete who excels in the classroom, makes the most impact on the court, and is a leader in the community.
• Also played soccer and lacrosse for Episcopal Academy.
Personal
• Elodie Julie Furey is the daughter of Kevin and Christele Furey and she has three brothers.
• Father, Kevin, played basketball at St. Joseph's University (1970-1974) and her brother, Gabriel, is on the men's lacrosse team at Penn.
• Cousins, Conor and Brannock, played football for Yale (2014-18) and Johns Hopkins (2012-16), respectively.
• Furey is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
