Smith on Wahleithner: Jen is a strong and athletic forward who runs floor very well, has a great defensive presence and rebounds the ball aggressively. She has a quick first step and knows how to use her strength and her size to her advantage. She will also be a dangerous offensive weapon for us because she has the ability to step out and shoot the three.

At Mountain Vista HS
Wahleithner was a four-year letter winner at Mountain Vista high school, serving as team captain during her senior season. She was named first-team all-conference as a senior after leading the state in blocked shots (4.0 per game). A two-time team MVP, she was her team’s leading scoring and rebounder and was named a Colorado Women Athletes honoree as a senior. Wahleithner also lettered three times in volleyball and was named first-team all-conference as a senior captain. She was a two-time first-team all-state academic team selection in both basketball and volleyball.
 
Personal
Jennifer Nicole Wahleithner is the daughter of Jeff and Brenda Wahleithner and she has one younger sister. Her cousin Matthew Graves played basketball for Belmont Abbey College from 2008-12. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
