Biography
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Saw a significant jump in playing time, appearing in 21 games, including 12 Ivy League contests.
• The first forward off the bench six times.
• Finished the season with 1.5 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.
• Averaged 7.3 minutes per game
• Led Cornell in rebounding once with 10 rebounds at New Hampshire.
• Had the best game of her career at UNH with career-highs in points (8), rebounds (10) and minutes (25).
• Scored her first collegiate points at Loyola.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Saw action in six games during her rookie season, playing in three Ivy League contests.
• Registered two steals on the season.
• Grabbed one rebound vs. Dartmouth on Feb. 17.
• Averaged 3.2 minutes per game.
Prior to Cornell
• Earned four varsity letters at Catherine McAuley high school.
• Served as team captain during her senior season.
• Reached the 1,000-point plateau and was a Miss Maine Basketball semifinalist in 2016.
• Named to the Maine McDonald's All-Star Team as a senior and was also a Maine McDonald's All-State Academic Team selection.
• A three-time Southern Maine Athletic Association All-Conference honoree, was named to the first-team as a senior and was also a SMAA All-Star that same season.
• Was a two-time Portland Press Herald Telegram Girls' Basketball All-State team selection and was named Portland Press Herald second team as a junior.
• Named to the Maine Broadcasting Radio All-Star team three times.
• Won her team’s Rookie of the Year award, as well as the team’s MVP award as a sophomore.
Personal
• Jessica Lee Willerson is the daughter of Thomas Willerson and Andrea Korda-Willerson.
• Her father played baseball at Springfield College before playing in the Atlanta Braves minor league system and professionally in Holland, while her mother rowed at Queens University.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
