Biography
As a junior (2019-20)
• Was a mainstay in Cornell’s starting line-up, appearing in all 26 games and starting 25 contests.
• Played an average of 27.1 minutes per contest.
• Averaged 7.9 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.
• Led Cornell in both steals and assists.
• Also posted the team’s highest 3-point shooting percentage, shooting 34.0% from behind the arc.
• Finished the season ranked second in the Ivy League in steals per game, while also ranking seventh in assists per game.
• Her assist/turnover ratio (1.3) led the Big Red and ranked fifth in the Ivy League.
• Scored a career-high 18 points at Dartmouth on Feb. 28, also adding a career-high seven assists in the contest.
• Registered her first-career double-double in a 55-47 victory at Harvard on Feb. 29, scoring 13 points and corralling a career-high 13 rebounds.
• Notched a career-high seven steals vs. Dartmouth on Feb. 14, a mark which ranks fifth all-time in Cornell history for a single game and is only one off the school record.
• Scored in double-figures 11 times on the season, finishing the season ranked fourth on the team in scoring.
As a sophomore (2018-19)
• Saw action in 25 games, including all 15 contests vs. Ivy League foes.
• Moved into the starting line-up vs. Delaware State and started the final 19 games of the season.
• Scored in double-digits three times, with a season-high 14 points at Columbia on Jan. 26.
• Also reached double-figures vs. Dartmouth and at Brown.
• The first guard off the bench once during season.
• Averaged 4.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
• Ranked fourth on the team in both assists (41) and steals (31).
• Ranked 15th in the Ivy League in steals per game (1.2).
As a freshman (2017-18)
• Played in 25 games and averaged 10.0 minutes per contest.
• Finished the season with 2.5 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.
• Registered a career-high nine points in her first-ever Ivy League contest at Penn (1/12/18).
• Was the first player off the bench in four Ivy League contests.
Prior to Cornell
• Earned three varsity letters in basketball at Mount Lebanon High School.
• Served as team captain as a senior.
• Named first-team All-Quad A Section 4 as a junior and senior.
• Led Mt. Lebanon to a Section Championship (2017), the Final 4 of the WPIAL (2017), and a Sweet 16 PIAA state playoff berth (2017).
• Selected to play in the 2017 Roundball Classic All-Star game.
• Was the 3-Point Shooting Champion at the 2017 Roundball Classic.
• Named the Almanac Female Athlete of the Year (2017)
• Selected to the Almanac Elite Eleven basketball team (2017).
• Voted Mt. Lebanon High School Class of 2017 Most Athletic Girl.
• Also lettered twice in lacrosse and played hockey for three seasons.
• 2017 US Lacrosse All-American.
• Helped the Mount Lebanon High School lacrosse team win two sectional championships (2016, 2017), the 2016 WPIAL Championship, and advance to the PIAA State semifinal.
• Named first-team All-Section Class 3A Lacrosse in 2017 and was an All-WPIAL selection that same season.
• Selected to the 2015 Women's Hockey U18 USA Player Development Camp.
Personal
• Kate Elizabeth Sramac is the daughter of Mike and Roberta Sramac and she has two brothers.
• Father, Mike, played baseball for Duquesne University.
• Sramac is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
