Biography

Workman is an athletic and scrappy player that has seen her first three seasons cut short due to injury. Still, when healthy she has been a solid contributor and she will look to provide the Big Red with key minutes during her final season.
 
At Cornell
After missing the first eight games of her junior season due to an injury, Workman returned to the lineup and saw action in 19 contests. For the season, she averaged 12.7 minutes, 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. She had her two best games of the season vs. Columbia on Jan 19 and Brown on Feb. 1. Against the Lions, Workman registered season highs in points (8), rebounds (3), steals (2) and minutes (18) before matching or setting new season highs in points (8), rebounds (4), assists (3) and minutes (18) vs. the Bears. In the final game of the season, Workman scored two points and had one rebound vs. No. 1 Connecticut in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Workman saw action in 10 games before an injury sidelined her for the remainder of her sophomore campaign. She averaged just over 13 minutes per contest, scoring 3.0 points and grabbing 2.0 rebounds per game. She had her best game of the season vs. Colgate, registering a career-high 11 points and season-best five rebounds. Workman saw action in 25 games during her rookie season, getting her first collegiate start vs. Bucknell. She had her best outing of the season at Brown on Feb. 25 with eight points, a career-high six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Workman had her best offensive game vs. Marist with a team- and career-high nine points, and her best defensive outing with a career-high four steals vs. St. Bonaventure.

At Ben Davis
Workman, an all-county, all-league and all-state athlete in Indiana, averaged 12 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in her senior campaign for Ben Davis HS. As a senior, Workman helped lead her team to a Section 12 championship, gaining an abundance of individual recognition along the way. She is a top 10 record holder in six different categories at Ben Davis (points, 3-pointers made, free-throws made, free-throw percentage, rebounds, assists).

Personal
Lacey Ann Workman is the daughter of Charlie and Diane Workman and is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She has an older brother, Charlie, and older sister, Lindsay.
