• Honorable Mention All-Ivy
• Served as team captain for the 2019-20 season, becoming only the second three-time team captain in Big Red women’s basketball history.
• Started all 26 games for the Big Red as a senior, closing out her career having started 79 and played in 105 consecutive contests.
• Became the 15th player in Cornell history to score 1,000-career points against Columbia on Jan. 25, finishing her career with 1,159 points, the 12th-most in Big Red history.
• Led the team in field goal percentage (.514) and minutes played per game (34.6), marks which both ranked second in the Ivy League.
• Her field goal percentage (.514) also sits third in Cornell history for a single season and ranked 55th in all of Division I at the conclusion of the 2019-20 campaign.
• Shot 17-of-41 (41.5%) from behind the arc, registering the seventh-best 3-point shooting percentage for a single season in Big Red history.
• Ranked second on the team in points (13.0) and rebounds (6.2) per game, marks which each rank 10th in the Ivy League.
• Also ranked second on the Cornell squad in assists per game (2.5) and third in steals per game (1.7), the latter of which ranked sixth in the Ivy League.
• Scored in double figures in 18 games on the season, including five 20+ point performances.
• Notched a season-high 25 points against Brown on Jan. 31.
• Secured double-doubles against UAlbany, UMass Lowell, and ETSU, pulling down a career-high 17 rebounds to go along with 15 points against ETSU on Jan. 4.
• Led Cornell in scoring and rebounding 11 times a piece during the season.
• Closes out her Cornell career ranked fourth in career offensive rebounds (221), fifth in career field goal percentage (.465), sixth in career defensive rebounds (387), sixth in career steals (174), eighth in career rebounds (608), ninth in career steals average (1.7), and 10th in career field goals made (437).
As a junior (2018-19)
• Served as team captain for the 2018-19 season.
• Started all 26 games on the season and averaged a team-high 31.2 minutes per contest.
• Led the team and ranked fifth in the Ivy League in steals per game (1.7).
• Led the team and ranked eighth in the Ivy League in field goal percentage (.455).
• Ranked second on the team and 19th in the Ivy League in points per game (10.8).
• Second on the team and eighth in the Ivy League in rebounds per game (6.8).

• Let the team and ranked 12th in the conference in field goal percentage (.438).
• Finished the year ranked second in the Ivy League in steals per game (2.2) and her 60 steals overall rank fifth in Cornell history for steals in a single season.
• Ranked seventh in the conference in free throw percentage (.610) and her 12 made free throws vs. Colgate on Nov. 16 rank sixth in Cornell history for free throws made in a single game.
• Led Cornell in scoring 18 times and in rebounding 13 times during the season.
• Had seven 20+ point games, including a season-high 28 points vs. Oakland.
• Scored in double-digits 19 times.
• Grabbed double-digit rebounds five times, including a season-high 14 at NJIT.
• Posted four double-doubles on the season.
• Earned her first career start at Loyola.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Saw action in 26 games as the first player off the bench in 17 contests.
• Averaged 5.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 16.0 minutes per game.
• Was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Nov. 14 and on Feb. 20, becoming just the ninth Cornell women’s basketball player to win Rookie of the Week honors twice in a career.
• Led the team in rebounding twice and in scoring once.
• Scored in double-digits seven times during the season.
• Registered her first career double-double with career highs in points (15) and rebounds (12) vs Harvard on Feb. 18.
Prior to Cornell
• A four-year letter winner at Notre Dame HS.
• Served as team captain all four seasons.
• Led the team to a pair of County Championships, was a four-time first-team all-county selection, and was twice named the county MVP.
• Was named the Trentonian Newspaper honorable mention all-state as a sophomore, before being selected to the second team in each of her final two seasons.
• Also named to the New Jersey All-Star team following her senior season.
• Lettered once in lacrosse.
Personal
• Samantha Nichole Widmann is the daughter of Rich and Vickie Widmann and she has two older brothers.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
