Taylor Flynn Career Statistics

At Cornell
Junior (2011-12): Flynn saw action in all 28 games, getting the start at Brown and serving as the first sub off the bench in 18 contests. She averaged 17.4 minutes per game and contributed a career-high 7.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest. Flynn led the Ivy League in 3-point field goal percentage (.414) and ranked first on the team and 13th in the conference for 3-pointers made per game (1.3). She scored in double-digits 10 times during the year, five of which came in Ivy League action. Flynn led Cornell in scoring in four games, including a season-high 21 point performance at Nebraska-Omaha.

Sophomore (2010-11): Flynn had a solid sophomore campaign, seeing action in all 28 games and making four starts. She led Cornell in scoring on four occasions, three of which came during Ivy League play. Flynn finished the year ranked fifth on the team with 5.1 points per game and also chipped in 2.1 rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 12 points in a 62-54 victory over Winston-Salem State and handed out a career-high five assists vs. Canisius.

Freshman (2009-10): Flynn saw action in all 27 games on the season, making four starts. She was Coach Smith’s main option off the bench, as she averaged more than 20 minutes per contest. Flynn finished the season averaging 6.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, to go along with 44 assists, 20 steals and four blocks. She also ranked ninth in the Ivy League in 3-point field goal percentage (.344). Flynn scored in double-digits seven times and led the Big Red in scoring twice on the season. She posted a career-high 26 points vs. Harvard on Feb. 19 and pulled down a career-best eight rebounds vs. Penn on Feb. 27.

At St. Anthony’s High School
Flynn was one of the top senior guards on Long Island and was named a McDonald’s All-American nominee. A four-year letter winner at St. Anthony’s high school, she ranked among the top 10 in the Catholic High School Athletic Association in points, rebounds and 3-pointers made as a senior. She was a Rise Magazine New York Metro honorable mention selection and was a first-team all-league selection as a junior and senior following a second-team selection as a sophomore. A two-time team captain, she was named second-team All-Long Island twice and was a Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame nominee. Flynn was also named her school’s Athlete of the Year. She was a six-year member of the Long Island Lightning AAU program with fellow Cornel classmate Caitlin Costello. Flynn was also a three-year varsity letter winner in softball and lettered once in track and field.

Personal
Taylor Victoria Flynn is the daughter of Kevin and Ann Marie Flynn and she has a younger brother. Her cousin James Brady plays quarterback for Georgetown University. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
