Senior Season - 2011-12
Serving as the team’s top goaltender yet again, Mazzotta became Cornell’s all-time wins leader with her 48th win. Finishing her career with a school-record 53 wins, Mazzotta twice won ECAC Hockey’s Goaltender of the Week award as a senior. She made a season-high 31 saves in an overtime win at Dartmouth on Jan. 21 and allowed just two goals over two days against No. 5 Boston University. Mazzotta had five shutouts on the year.
Junior Season - 2010-11
Mazzotta picked up where she left off as a sophomore, recording a .945 save percentage and a 1.11 goals-against average during her junior season, leading the nation in both categories. She started the first 14 games of the season and went 13-1 before suffering an injury in practice that would force her to miss the next three months. The injury also forced her to miss the MLP Cup after being named to that roster for her native Canada. Mazzotta returned to action in the ECAC Hockey semifinals and allowed seven goals over her the last four games. For the season, she posted a 16-2 mark with five shutouts, bumping her career total to 17, the most all-time by a Big Red netminder. She earned four ECAC Hockey goaltender of the week awards during the season.
Sophomore Season - 2009-10
Mazzotta was stellar in between the pipes for the Big Red as a sophomore, backstopping the Big Red to the national title game. She earned all-tournament team honors at both the ECAC Hockey tournament and the NCAA tournament, while also earning third-team All-ECAC Hockey and first-team All-Ivy League honors. She finished the season ranked sixth in the nation in goals-against average and led the country with 11 shutouts, setting the single-season mark for any Cornell goaltender, male or female. Mazzotta also posted the fourth-longest shutout streak in NCAA history, recording four straight shutouts from Feb. 5 through Feb. 13. Mazzotta allowed just three goals during the entire month of February as she guided the Big Red to its first regular-season championship. She was a three-time ECAC Hockey goaltender of the week honoree, while her 21 victories on the season were the most in a single season by a Cornell women's hockey netminder. She appeared in 35 of the 36 games on the season, missing only the second of two games against Providence in early January.
Freshman Season - 2008-09
Sidelined for the first two-thirds of the season, Mazzotta made her collegiate debut with a start in a 2-1 loss against St. Lawrence on Jan. 30. She picked up her first career victory and shutout when she made 15 saves in an 8-0 win against Union on Feb. 21. Mazzotta stopped a season-best 30 shots in her debut against St. Lawrence, while making more than 25 saves on two other occasions, including a 29-save showing on Feb. 13 against Harvard and a 27-save performance on Feb. 28 against the Crimson.
Before Cornell
At the 2007 Canadian Winter Games, Mazzotta helped Team Ontario to win gold and was named team MVP. She was also a member of the U18 Canadian National team that finished second at the IIHF World Women’s Hockey Championships. Mazzotta led her high school team to two provincial titles and was a two-time team MVP. At St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School, she also played golf and soccer. Mazzotta helped her golf team to a city championship, and at regionals placed fourth individually to qualify for the provincial tournament. Her soccer team was the city and regional champions her junior year and advanced to the provincial tournament.
