    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Meredith Roth begins her third season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Cornell women's hockey program in 2012-13. Roth came to the Big Red after spending four seasons as an assistant coach at Providence, where she served as the recruiting coordinator and focused on coaching the defense.

Roth's work with the Big Red has included on-ice instruction, helping the team to appearances in the NCAA Frozen Four in 2011 and 2012. She has also been instrumental in dramatically expanding the team's social marketing efforts, resulting in the Big Red posting the fourth-highest per-game attendance figure in all of Division I hockey. She runs the team's Twitter account, getting word out about games, promotions and connecting with the Lynah Faithful fanbase.

A 2004 graduate of Providence College with a degree in social sciences, Roth was a four-year member of the women's hockey team. Her accolades include a spot on the ECAC Eastern Hockey League All-Tournament team in 2002 and the Hockey East All-Academic Team in 2004. She was named a co-captain as a senior after serving as an assistant captain during her junior year. Roth was also named to the United States National Team in 2003 and the U.S. U22 National Team that same season. Roth helped Providence to the 2002 ECAC Championship as well as the 2003 and 2004 Hockey East titles.

Roth's coaching career also includes a two-year stint as the head coach for the girls U16 team at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Fairbault, Minn.
