As a Senior (2018-19)
• Appeared in all 36 games her senior year.
• Finished the season with 14 points on two goals and 12 assists.
• Had two three-game point streaks at one point of the season.
• Assisted on the game-winning goal in the NCAA quarterfinal against Northeastern (March 16), which sent the Big Red to its first Frozen Four in seven years.
• Overall, she assisted on four game-winners.
• Had a plus/minus of +8.
As a Junior (2017-18)
• Played in all 33 games en route to 14 points from seven goals and seven assists.
• Netted two goals on the power play at Yale (Nov. 18) and versus Syracuse (Feb. 6).
• Also had game-tying goal against Penn State (Nov. 21) with less than a minute and a half remaining in the contest.
• Went on two point streaks, one lasting three games and another four.
• Blocked 10 shots and recorded two multi-point games.
As a Sophomore (2016-17)
• Had a strong season for Cornell, playing in all 34 games while setting career-highs in points (13), goals (7), assists (6) shots on goal (56) and blocked shots (16) - more than doubling her numbers from her rookie year in points, goals and shots.
• Tallied two game-winning goals, securing conference wins over Dartmouth on Dec. 12 (2-1) and against Rensselaer on Feb. 4 (3-2).
• Also assisted on three game-winners, including the game-deciding goal in a 3-1 win over St. Lawrence in the ECAC Hockey Tournament semifinals.
• Notched a goal against No. 1 Wisconsin on Nov. 26.
• Had two separate three-game point streaks during the season and led the team in face-off winning percentage (.647).
• Cornell went 11-1-1 during the season when Buckley registered at least one point.
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Proved to be a versatile player for the Big Red in her rookie campaign, spending time on various lines throughout the season and appearing in all 31 contests.
• Finished with five points on the season on one goal and four assists, recording her first-career point and her first multi-point outing in the same game, tallying two assists in a 5-2 win over Syracuse on Nov. 14.
• Scored her first-career goal on the power play in a 3-1 win over Union on Jan. 29.
Before Cornell
• Was a league all-star during her only year playing for the Washington Pride in the Junior Women’s Hockey League.
• Before joining the Pride, was a team captain for the Reston Raiders U-19 Tier 1 team for two seasons.
• While at Woodbridge Senior High School in Virginia, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a Member of the National Honor Society for three years and the National German Honor Society for two years.
• Also won five letters in high school, playing field hockey, ice hockey and competing in track and field.
Personal
• Diana Christine Buckley is the daughter of James and Kathie Buckley, and she has one brother and twin sisters.
• She is enrolled in the SC Johnson College of Business.
