Biography
As a Freshman (2014-15)
McKim had her cut a little short after getting banged up on the penultimate weekend of the regular season. She was solid player for the Big Red in her first year, appearing in 23 games in 2014-15. She scored her first collegiate goal, as part of a multi-point game, in a victory over Rensselaer on Jan. 31. She finished the year with the one goal and one assist, while she was a +3.
Before Cornell
McKim joins the Big Red from Shattuck-St. Mary's in Minnesota, where she appeared in the USA Hockey National Championship U19 final last season. It was her third trip to a title game in nationals, also having played in the championship tilt in 2008 (with Team Pittsburgh U12) and 2009 (with Rochester Edge U14). She was invited to participate in four USA Hockey Player Development Camps and was selected to the USA Player Development All-Star Team. She was on the high honor roll in all four of her years at Shattuck-St. Mary's. Her previous club experience came with the Buffalo Bisons, the Rochester Edge and Team Pittsburgh.
Personal
Morgan McKim is the daughter of Mark and Susan McKim, and she has a brother. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
