Biography

As a Senior (2018-19)

• Appeared in all 36 games.
• Finished the season with a total of 15 points (9g, 6a).
• Registered two multi-point performances.
• Netted the game-winning goal in three consecutive games against Rensselaer (Feb. 22), Union (Feb. 23) and Rensselaer (Mar. 1).
• Had the top shot percentage on the team (.153), with 9 of her 59 shot attempts finding the back of the net.

As a Junior (2017-18)

• Played in 31 games this season.
• Tallied eight points from one goal and seven assists.
• Her lone goal was an unassisted game winner against Princeton (Nov. 4)
• Ended year with +1 rating and recorded four blocks.


As a Sophomore (2016-17)

• Played in 28 of Cornell’s 34 games before suffering a season-ending injury against St. Lawrence on Feb. 17.
• After earning on assist on the game-winning goal in the 3-1 season opening win over Mercyhurst on Oct. 21, went on to record 11 points on five goals and six assists.
• Nine times she notched a point in a game, with Cornell going 9-0-0 in those contests.
• She scored two game winners, with both coming in huge 2-1 conference wins, as she found the net against Princeton on Nov. 19 and on Jan. 20, she poked home the puck with 1:16 to play to take down Clarkson.
• Even with missing the final six games of the season, she recorded career-highs in points (11), assists (6), and power-play points (3).
• Ready to take on any role, her flexibility in moving from line-to-line throughout the season proved to be advantageous.


As a Freshman (2015-16)

• Had a solid debut season, recording eight points on six goals and two assists.
• First career goal sparked a Big Red rally from a 2-0 deficit against Union, with the game ultimately ending in a 2-2 draw on Oct. 31.
• Helped Cornell win the Windjammer Classic at Vermont, earning Player of the Game honors with a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Boston University on Nov. 28 and adding another goal in a 4-0 blanking of the host Catamounts to garner All-Tournament Team accolades and an ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week nod.
• Posted first multi-goal game and first three-point outing in a 6-4 win over Yale, helping lift the Big Red after the Bulldogs had battled back.
• Also the team’s only freshman to finish with a plus-rating on the year.


Before Cornell

• Was a participant in the USA Hockey U-18 player development camp from 2011 to 2014 and was a part of the USA U-18 Hockey August Festival in 2014.
• Went north to Canada to play her junior hockey for the Etobicoke Jr. Dolphins of the Provincial Women’s Hockey League.
• Also a member of the National Honor Society in high school.


Personal

• Elizabeth Rose Gerace is the daughter of Joe and Gina Gerace, and she has five brothers and a sister.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
