Biography
As a Senior (2018)
• Started in all 15 games.
• Recorded 13 ground balls, four caused turnovers and one draw control.
• Scored a goal against Columbia on her lone shot of the year.
As a Junior (2017)
• Appeared in 18 contests for the Big Red during her junior season, starting the final 14 games and 17 overall.
• Was an important part of a nationally ranked defensive unit that was continually ranked in the top 10 in the nation.
• Had two ground balls, two draw controls and one caused turnover in the season-opening win at Villanova on Feb. 18 and had two ground balls and one caused turnover against Brown on April 8.
• Finished the year with 10 ground balls, seven draw controls and six caused turnovers.
As a Sophomore (2016)
• Got off to a strong start sophomore year, scoring four goals and adding an assist in the first five games of the season before missing time with an injury.
• In total, appeared in nine games, getting three starts, and finished with five points, three ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover.
As a Freshman (2015)
• Appeared in 10 contests during rookie campaign in 2015.
• Made collegiate debut against Temple on 2/21.
• Collected a ground ball in the victory over Colgate on 3/4.
• Notched a pair of ground balls and one draw control in the victory at California on 3/29.
• Added ground balls in contests against Binghamton (3/11) and Penn (4/26).
Before Cornell
• Although Baumeister got a late start in lacrosse, not starting until her sophomore season, she quickly became one of the best players in the state of New Jersey.
• She garnered Second Team All Stars and Stripes Division recognition in her debut season as a sophomore, earning a spot on the Under Armour New Jersey Underclassmen Team.
• She again earned Second Team All Stars and Stripes Division her junior year, before breaking out in her senior season.
• In 2014, she led the Hilltoppers to their fifth consecutive Union County Championship, en route to a Group 2 State Championship.
• She was named First Team All-State, First Team All-Union County, and First Team All Stars and Stripes Division at the conclusion of the season.
• She was named a US Lacrosse Academic All American in both her junior and senior years.
Personal
• Anna Katherine Baumeister is the daughter of Michael and Mary Baumeister.
• She has an older brother, James, who attends Penn State University ’16.
• She also has a younger sister Clare.
