Biography
As a Senior (2018)
• Started in all 15 games.
• Recorded first-career point with an assist against Rutgers.
• Ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (18) and added in 16 ground balls and two draw controls, both coming against Columbia.
• Tied career high in caused turnovers (4) versus UMass.
• Had season high three ground balls at Binghamton.
As a Junior (2017)
• Appeared in all 19 contests – including nine starts – for the Big Red during junior campaign an important part of a nationally ranked defensive unit that was continually ranked in the top 10 in the nation.
• Aad a solid season in the backfield and finished tied for third on the team with 14 caused turnovers and added 21 ground balls and two draw controls.
• Collected five ground balls and caused four turnovers against nationally ranked Penn State in the Feb. 25 home opener.
• Also had a three ground balls, three caused turnovers at Penn on March 7 and picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers against Colgate on March 7.
As a Sophomore (2016)
• Appeared in three games as a sophomore, causing a turnover and picking up a ground ball in a 14-7 win over California.
As a Freshman (2015)
• Saw action in four games during her rookie campaign.
• Made collegiate debut against Colgate on 3/4.
• Other appearances came in victories over Binghamton (3/11), Brown (3/21), and California (3/29).
Before Cornell
• Callahan was a multi-sport standout from day one at the Hotchkiss School.
• She was a four-year letter winner in ice hockey and field hockey, in addition to her four-years on the Bearcat lacrosse team. • The lacrosse team won the Founders League Championship and went on to win the Western New England Championship in three of her four seasons (2011, 2013, and 2014).
• Showing an outstanding work ethic, her abilities continued to evolve throughout her four years at Hotchkiss.
• She was named a Founders League All-Star at the conclusion of her sophomore season in 2012.
• The following year she was named a New England All-Star, while also garnering US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American recognition.
• As a senior captain, she again earned Honorable Mention All-American recognition, while also receiving the 2014 Kelly Stone Lacrosse Prize presented to the member of the girl’s lacrosse team who showed the highest levels of effort, loyalty, and performance.
• She was named a US Lacrosse Academic All-American her senior season, bringing recognition to four years of excellence in the classroom.
Personal
• Caitlin Marie Callahan is the daughter of Timothy and Laura Callahan.
• She has two brothers; one older, Conor Callahan, who attends St. Lawrence University '16, and one younger, Owen Callahan.
• She is enrolled in the SC Johnson College of Business.
