Nora Fallon-Oben

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Fallon-Oben brings a wealth of experience to East Hill and has been a leader in developing women’s lacrosse in non-traditional areas for the sport. Most recently, she served as the head coach of Sierra Nevada College of the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA). Starting in May of 2013, she built the program from the ground up; handling all aspects of the program, from the recruitment of its entire roster, to the handling of equipment and travel, as well as the marketing and promotion efforts for the squad.

Competing in the Western Women’s Lacrosse League, she led the team to a victory in the final game of its inaugural season in 2014. Fallon-Oben helped the squad transition from a provisional member to a full-fledged member of the conference in 2015.

Fallon-Oben continued her work as a lacrosse pioneer in the Lake Tahoe area through the creation of the North Tahoe Girls’ Lacrosse Team (High School). She helped develop the high school program by leaps and bounds in just two seasons. Again building the program from scratch, she led the team to a dramatic improvement in just two seasons. After guiding the club program to a 2-10 record in its first season, she helped the squad to an 8-5 record and top-four finish in the 2014 Nevada State Championships in the team’s second season. She also helped out with the BearLax North, a premier girl’s lacrosse middle school program as an assistant coach under Theresa Sherry.

In addition to her strong coaching and development skills, she also was important in the administration of the fledgling programs in the area. She served on the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation Board of Directors, while she also was an assistant commissioner and development chair for the Western Women’s Lacrosse League.

Fallon-Oben graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2010 with degree in Criminal Justice/Alternative Sentencing. She was a three-year starter on the Division III powerhouse, earning First Team IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region honors and Second Team All-Captial Athletic Conference honors during her senior season. She finished her career with 170 points (112 goals – 58 assists).
