As a senior (2021)
• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a junior (2020)
• Started all six games for the Big Red, tallying five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.
• Won two ground balls and caused a turnover against both Villanova and Penn State.
• Earned a ground ball in the victory over Columbia.
As a sophomore (2019)
• Saw action in 13 contests, starting each of the team's final four games.
• Was credited with nine ground balls and six caused turnovers on the season.
• Caused a pair of turnovers against Stony Brook.
• Earned three ground balls in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals against Princeton.
• Made her first collegiate start at Syracuse.
As a freshman (2018)
• Appeared in two games.
Prior to Cornell
• Earned four varsity letters at Morristown HS.
• Was a two-time team captain.
• Selected to play in the New Jersey Senior All-Star Game in 2017.
• A 2017 Star-Ledger All-State selection.
• Four-time All-Morris Country (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017).
• Named to the 2017 Star-Ledger All-Group 4, after a Group 3 selection in 2015.
• Was a two-time first-team All-Conference Stars and Stripes selection, as well as a North Jersey Interscholastic Girls Lacrosse League all-conference honoree.
• Three-time Daily Record All-Area selection.
• Named honorable mention all-state.
• Was a first-team Freedom North All-League selection.
• Named her team’s Defensive MVP three times after earning the program’s Rookie of the Year award in 2014.
• Presented with the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference Award in 2017, given in recognition of outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
• Given the 2017 Morris County Scholar Athlete Award.
• Earned the Most Outstanding Female Award in 2017, selected by all the Morristown High School coaches and given based on a combination of athletics, leadership, and scholarship.
• Was a member of the STEPS Elite Club Team, winning a U15 National Championship and earning an All-Star selection in 2014.
• Lettered one time in cross country.
Personal
• Linnea Wallace Begley is the daughter of Gerard and Kerry Begley and has one older brother and one younger sister.
• Her mother swam at the University of Georgia.
• Brother, Brian, is a member of the Loyola men’s lacrosse team and a part of the Class of 2018.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
