Biography

Career Stats

As a senior
Knotts finished her Cornell career her best season. She finished the year with a career-high 30 goals and 15 assists, both of which was good for third on the team. She also recorded seven ground balls during her senior campaign. Knotts recorded hat tricks in six games in 2012, scoring a career-high five against Notre Dame on March 17.

As a junior
Knotts played in 14 contests with 13 starts in 2011, recording four goals and seven assists. Knotts added 10 ground balls, four caused turnovers and a draw control during the year. Knotts had a goal and three assists in a narrow loss to Harvard and also notched a goal and an assist vs. Brown. She added two ground balls against Ivy champ Dartmouth and two caused turnovers against nationally ranked Loyola.

As a sophomore
Knotts started nine of the 12 games in which she played, scoring seven goals and adding an assist. Knotts scored a pair of goals against both Rutgers and Dartmouth, her first career multi-goal efforts. Knotts was also credited with four ground balls, two draws and a caused turnover during the year.

As a freshman
Knotts played in seven contests as a reserve in 2009, posting three goals and an assist. She notched her four points in the final three contests of the season, including a one-goal, one-assist effort against nationally ranked Notre Dame. She also had goals against both Vanderbilt and Harvard. Knotts made her collegiate debut against LeMoyne.

At St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes
Knotts scored 30 points and recorded 15 draw controls in helping St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School to a perfect 26-0 mark as a senior. Her squad won league and state titles and finished the season ranked No. 1 in the country according to LaxPower.com. She was the team’s most improved player as a sophomore and competed in the national tournament twice. A four-year letter winner in lacrosse (two years at Sewickley Academy), she also earned three letters each in tennis and diving (one year at Sewickley Academy). As a senior, Knotts served as team captain of the tennis team and played at No. 1 singles, earning all-league honors in the process. In diving, Knotts qualified for the league championships as a sophomore and finished 13th at the Virginia state championships as a junior.

Personal
Olivia Suzanne Knotts is the daughter of Albert and Cynthia Knotts and has two younger brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
