As a Senior (2017)
Poullott had a stellar senior season in the cage for Cornell, cementing her name in the program record books. Poullott's .506 save percentage ranked eighth in the nation while her 8.62 goals against average was seventh and she finished with 166 saves and was third on the team with 35 ground balls. With Cornell's 12-7 win over Notre Dame on May 12 in the NCAA Tournament first round, Poullott became the winningest goalkeeper in program history with 41 total and also finished her career second all-time in saves (453). In the span of 11 days in 2017, Poullott set a career-high in saves in two consecutive games and then tied it in a third. On April 18, she made a career-high 14 saves against Syracuse and then four days later upped that to 15 against Princeton. In Cornell's regular season Ivy title clinching win over Harvard on April 29, Poullott again made 15 saves. Poullott never gave up more than 12 goals in a game in 2017, something a Cornell goalkeeper hadn't done since the 2003 season. She also earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week on March 20 for her 10-save performance in Cornell’s win over nationally ranked USC and finished her career with five weekly awards. Poullott was named a first-team IWLCA Regional All-American and was also named honorable mention All-Ivy.
As a Junior (2016)
Poullott had a stellar junior season, backstopping the Big Red to one of its best defensive seasons in recent memory. She started all 19 games for Cornell and finished the season with a .465 save percentage. Her goals-against average (7.36) was below six for the entire regular season as she held opponents to six or fewer goals on eight occasions. Poullott was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week twice in 2016. She first earned the honor after holding then nationally ranked Albany to five goals. Then, she was recognized again after a pair of 10-save performances against national powerhouse Syracuse and at Harvard, holding the Crimson to just three goals. She helped the Big Red to the program's first Ivy League Tournament Championship, earning All-Tournament Team honors. She finished first on the team with 40 ground balls and was named Second-Team All-Ivy and earned Second-Team IWLCA Regional All-American honors.
As a Sophomore (2015)
Poullott appeared in all 16 contests – playing every minute of the final 15 – for the Big Red in 2015. She was quite solid in net posting seven goals or less in eight of her 16 appearances on the year. She posted a .500 or better save percentage in six contests including a strong .571 season high in a victory over Brown on 3/21. She finished the year with an 8.78 goals against average and 107 saves. Her nine victories was also a career high, as she now is tied for 10
th on the program’s all-time list with 14 career victories through two seasons. She was twice named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week during the regular season.
As a Freshman (2014)
Poullott had an outstanding freshman campaign on East Hill and started 10 of the 12 games she played in, including complete games against Princeton (10-7 loss in overtime) and Dartmouth (11-10 victory in double overtime). She kept opponents to 10 goals or less in 11-of-12 games and allowed 82 goals for a 9.55 goals-against average. She made 60 saves, including a season-high 13 at then-No. 8 Penn State, and finished with a .423 save percent and a 5-5 record.
Before Cornell
Poullott played her club lacrosse with the Star Riders Lacrosse Club. She made the Under Armour All-American Games in 2011-12 and was on the WDNT Team in 2011 and 2012. She was also the MVP of the Star Spangled Tournament from 2007 to 2010. Poullott was a star lacrosse player in high school earning First Team All-American honors her senior season, while also making the 2011and 2012 First Team for the OHSL Liberty League. She served as a team captain in 2012. She was also a two-year shot put thrower and a four-year doubles tennis player in high school. On the tennis court, she was on the 2012 All-OHSL Liberty League First Team and advanced to the state tournament for first doubles. She was her team doubles MVP in 2011 and 2012.
Personal
Renee Elizabeth Poullott is the daughter of Dan and Shellie Poullott. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
