PRIOR TO CORNELL
Samantha joins the Big Red from Wilton High School in Wilton, Connecticut, where she was a four-year varsity lacrosse player and senior captain... earned All-America, All-FCIAC and All-State honors in 2025 and 2026... named the No. 16 lacrosse prospect in New England's Class of 2026... selected to the A Shot For Life All-Star Team in 2026... earned FCIAC Exemplary Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-State honors as a senior... received Wilton's Most Dependable Player award in 2025 and 2026 and the Triple Threat Award in 2026... also competed for Gold Coast Lacrosse, where she was a 2024 team captain and earned American Select All-Tournament Team honorable mention and Juniors Open honorable mention honors... named Player of the Match four times at the 2025 Champions Cup.
PERSONAL
Samantha Paige McDonnell is the daughter of Randi and Sean McDonnell... she has three brothers, Alex, Evan and Jacob... she is a member of the National Honor Society and was co-president of the Open Art Club at Wilton High School... she served as a Morgan's Message ambassador from 2020-26... earned Scholastic Art Awards Silver Key honors in photography and portfolio work... she is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
