Biography
As a senior (2019)
• Saw action in all 16 contests with 14 starts, including in each of the final 10 games.
• Ranked third on the team in scoring with 33 points (26 goals, seven assists).
• Connected on six-of-nine shots from the free-position arc.
• Added 22 ground balls and three caused turnovers to the cause.
• Posted career highs in goals (six) and points (seven) in a win over Binghamton and added four ground balls.
• Had five-point days in a win over Marist (two goals, three assists) and a loss to Princeton (four goals, one assist).
• Had hat tricks against Rutgers and Brown, both Big Red wins.
• Recorded her 100th career point in the regular season finale against Princeton (79 goals, 21 assists).
As a junior (2018)
• Started in all 15 games.
• Scored at least one goal in 14 contests, including nine multi-goal outings.
• Had two hat tricks and netted career-high four goals against Yale.
• Also had career highs in ground balls (4, at Princeton) and caused turnovers (2, Columbia).
• Tied career highs in assists (2, Rutgers) and points (4, Yale and Rutgers).
• Second on the team in points (32) and goals (27) and tied for fourth in assists (5).
• Tied for third in ground balls (20) and added in five caused turnovers and five free position goals.
• Scored 50th goal at Binghamton and notched 50th point against Syracuse.
As a sophomore (2017)
• Enjoyed a strong sophomore campaign for the Big Red, playing in 18 contests and proving herself as an excellent complimentary scorer with 27 points on 18 goals and nine assists.
• Racked up six multi-goal games and eight multi-point games and also had two five-game point streaks during the season.
• Had two goals and two assists against Villanova on Feb. 18 and had two goal and one assists efforts against Binghamton (April 4), Dartmouth (April 15) and Harvard (April 29).
• Also added 10 ground balls and five caused turnovers.
As a freshman (2016)
• Proved to be a serious offensive threat, scoring eight goals in six games early in the season before missing the rest of her rookie campaign due to injury.
• Scored twice against nationally ranked Albany and California and added goals against Villanova, Colgate, Brown and defending National Champion Maryland.
• Also picked up a ground ball and two draw controls.
Prior to Cornell
• Leska is a two-time All-American and three-time captain at Vestal High School, where she holds the records for career points (450), goals (226) and assists (224) and single-season goals (69) and assists (71).
• She participated in the U.S. Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament in three consecutive seasons and was selected to try out for the U.S. Women’s U19 National Team.
• Leska was also selected as a Section IV First Team All-Star all four years of high school.
Personal
• Tomasina Marie Leska is the daughter of Kevin and Rita Leska and has a younger sister, Nicole.
• Her uncle, Joseph Leska, played Division I lacrosse at Hobart from 1998-2001.
• She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
