As a Senior (2016)
McNeilly served as a key reserve her senior year, appearing in all 19 contests for the Big Red. Strong on both sides of the ball, she finished the season with four goals, five draw controls, seven ground balls and five caused turnovers. She had a solid outing against defending National Champion Maryland, causing a turnover and picking up a ground ball against the Terps' potent attack.

As a Junior (2015)
McNeilly appeared in 16 contests – including eight starts – for the Big Red in her junior campaign. She kicked off the season with a goal in the victory over Temple on 2/21. She collected her only multi-point game with one goal and one assist in the victory at Columbia on 3/14. She also tallied a goal in the Big Red’s Ivy League Tournament semifinal contest against Penn on 5/1. She finished the year with seven goals and nine points, while she added 13 ground balls and five caused turnovers.

As a Sophomore (2014)
McNeilly started six of the 15 games she played in this season. She had five goals, including two in the Big Red’s crucial 11-10 overtime victory against Brown. She also picked up eight ground balls and caused five turnovers. 

As a Freshman (2013)
McNeilly sat out her freshman season at Cornell with an injury.

Before Cornell
McNeilly was the top goal scorer at Skaneateles High for two years, a captain as a senior and a member of the All-CNY Second Team in 2011 and First Team in 2012. She also earned Academic All-America honors once, twice won a league title and racked up 164 goals in her career. A fast and aggressive midfield player, McNeilly should challenge for a spot in the midfield right away. Besides lacrosse, McNeilly played three years of soccer as a defender and spent one season on the indoor track team as a sprinter at Skaneateles.

Shelby Alex McNeilly is the daughter of Paul McNeilly and Kimberly Forbes. She has an older sister, Brooke.
