2008-09 Women's Tennis Roster
Biography
Duboc has powerful groundstrokes which she uses to attack her opponents, and she is not afraid to rip a shot and come to the net. She is an extremely hard worker with a “never say die” attitude on the court. In the fall, she partnered with Shayna Miller at the Cornell Invitational where they dominated in B doubles with victories over Colgate and Binghamton, before topping Temple, 8-5, in the final. In singles, she defeated the No. 6 player from Miami (Ohio).
2007-08 Season
Duboc appeared in one match for Cornell last spring, posting a dominating 6-2, 6-1 victory against Bucknell. Last fall, Duboc had an excellent 4-2 singles record and made it to the semifinals of the flight C at the Cornell Fall Invitational and to the quarterfinals of the USTA/BJK College Tennis Invitational.
At Kent Denver
Part of the regional and state championship team at Kent Denver School, Duboc also won the No. 1 singles championship at both events. She achieved a No. 2 ranking in the Intermountain 18 Region and was ranked 140th nationally by the USTA.
Personal
Catherine A. Duboc is the daughter of Fred and Susan Duboc and has two sisters. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
