The team picked up wins over UMass and UConn. In doubles play, Cornell secured wins over a pair of highly-ranked opponents with Maria Adiaconitei and Valerie Ho besting #48 Hansen/Trescheva of Syracuse and Ashley Huang and Megan Polnet toppling #26 Long/Wilcox of Boston College.

Career

Johnson competed for the men's tennis team at Virginia, where the Cavaliers were ACC Champs and ranked as high as #1 in the country during his tenure. As a freshman in 2006, he won the UVa Fall Invitational Doubles title alongside Leif Sunderland.

Previously, Johnson served as the coach for Treat Huey on the ATP World Tour, helping him reach the semifinals at Wimbledon in 2016. He has extensive experience as a private coach of both amateur and professional players.

In high school, Johnson was ranked No. 1 in the Missouri Valley region in boys' 16s and 18s and was ranked in the top 20 nationally for 16s. He also was the Oklahoma Class 4A State Singles Champion as a junior for Booker T. Washington H.S., the first champion in school history.
