Senior Season — 2015-16
Stewart was 7-9 from the bottom half of the singles lineup and 2-1 in doubles during dual matches. Both of her Ivy League victories came in No. 6 singles, and both of her doubles victories came from the No. 3 position while paired with Marika Cusick. ... In fall tournaments, Stewart was 9-2 in singles and 10-2 in doubles. She finished second in the 'B' Singles bracket at the Cornell Invitational, but won the 2nd Singles bracket two weeks later at the West Point Invitational — an event she also won in 2nd doubles while paired with Madison Stevens. Stewart paired with Cusick to advance to the Round of 32 in doubles at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional.

Junior Season — 2014-15
After joining the Big Red for the dual season, Stewart immediately stepped in and finished second on the team in singles victories with an 11-5 mark from the Nos. 4-6 positions. She most often appeared at the No. 6 spot, where she posted an 8-3 record. She had nine consecutive victories in a stretch from Jan. 25 to April 3, which also included three unfinished matches in which she was leading at the time the tilts were halted. She was also 7-8 from the No. 3 position in doubles, with a 2-3 record in Ivy League play.

Prior to Cornell
Stewart played for two years at Rice University before transferring to Cornell. She was named to the 2013 C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and won a 2013 C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal. Before enrolling at Rice, Stewart was ranked as the top recruit in Connecticut and the second-best recruit in New England by Tennis Recruiting Network.

Personal
Jane Alexandra Stewart is the daughter of James and Linda Stewart. She has an older sister, Katherine, who was the on the rowing team at Virginia. Her father also ran track at Carnegie Mellon. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
