Biography
One of the best athletes on the team, Loomis has excellent court coverage and plenty of power off both groundstrokes. She is working on becoming more comfortable at the net and to improve her second serve and consistency. Loomis has a good first serve and overhead. Pairing with Leah Seyburn in the fall, she made it to the semifinals in C doubles at the Cornell Invitational.
At Niskayuna
Captain of the tennis team at Niskayuna HS for two years, Loomis received the school’s scholar athlete award.
Personal
Julia Loomis is the daughter of Arthur and Patricia Loomis, who are both graduates of Cornell, and she has one older sister. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences.
