As a sophomore (2019-20)

• Missed most of the season due to injury.
• Earned two wins during the fall tournament season.
 

As a freshman (2018-19)

Dual matches
• Led team in appearances at No. 1 singles, posting a 5-10 from the top spot and 5-14 mark overall.
• Defeated nationally-ranked opponent from Miami on Jan. 19 for first collegiate victory in dual matches.
• Won three straight matches from March 9 to March 16.
• Posted 3-11 record in doubles, with all but two appearances coming from the No. 1 spot.
• 3-1 at No. 1 doubles when teamed with Mariko Iinuma, including an Ivy League victory against Brown on April 6.
Fall tournaments
• 2-4 in singles with both victories coming at the Bulldog Invitational in September.
• Competed in just won doubles competition, winning one of three matches at the Bulldog Invitational alongside Sarah Campbell.

Prior to Cornell

• Ranked as five-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network, ranking as high as 32nd nationally.
• Competed in high school ranks as a freshman, earning most valuable player honors, spot on all-academic team, and sportsmanship award at National Spring Team Championships.
• Southern California Tennis Association's Girls-18s Sportsmanship Award winner.

Personal

• Katherine Hoai-Trang Nguyen is the daughter of Kimberly Nguyen Le.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
