Biography
Junior Season — 2013-14Frazier was 4-12 in singles and 6-9 in doubles during dual-matche play in the spring. She competed from the third to fifth position in singles, winning an Ivy League match from the No. 5 spot against Penn's Luba Vazhenina in the season finale. Frazier was 10-8 in tournament singles, advancing to the 'B' bracket finals of the Cornell Winter Invitational. She was also 10-6 in tournament doubles, with an 8-5 mark when teamed with Ryann Young.
Sophomore Season — 2012-13Frazier became the program's first two-time All-Ivy League doubles selection after she was named to the Second Team alongside junior Ryann Young. Frazier was 11-5 overall and had a team-high seven of those victories from the No. 1 position, primarily teamed with senior Sarah O'Neil. Frazier then shifted to a partnership with Young for the final three weeks, where the tandem posted a 5-1 record in Ivy League play. ... Frazier was equally strong in singles, where she posted the best winning percentage (.800) in singles play of the Big Red's regular competitors with a 12-3 mark from the bottom two spots in the order. She was a perfect 4-0 from the No. 5 position, and went 2-3 in Ivy League play — all from the No. 6 spot. She won all 10 of her non-league matches, including seven in straight sets. ... Frazier was also 7-4 in fall singles matches, advancing to the 'B' finals of the Cissie Leary Invitational on Sept. 23. Frazier and O'Neil were also 7-4 in fall doubles matches, advancing to the 'A' finals of the Cornell Fall Invitational on Sept. 16.
Freshman Season — 2011-12Frazier immediately made her mark, earning an All-Ivy League First Team selection alongside Sarah O'Neil in doubles. The tandem ended the season ranked 73rd in the nation in doubles, posting a 8-3 record in dual matches and 5-2 in Ivy play, exclusively at the No. 1 position. The success culminated with a sweep of ranked pairs April 27-29 — 48th-ranked Sol Eskenazi and Jules Rodin from Penn and 40th-ranked Hilary Bartlett and Lindsay Graff from Princeton. Frazier also won a pair of No. 2 doubles matches alongside classmate Gabby Sullivan, giving her an overall doubles record of 10-3 — tied for the team lead with Rosemary Li. In singles, Frazier was 3-11 in the spring from the bottom half of the lineup. Her tournament season included an impressive 12-3 mark, included B Bracket titles at both the Cornell Fall Invitational and Cornell Winter Invitational.
Prior to CornellFrazier lettered four times at Junius H. Rose HS, playing at No. 1 singles. In each of her four years, she was regional champion, was named as the Coastal Conference Player of the Year, and was named as her team’s MVP. She was also a state finalist while serving as team captain during her senior year. Frazier also lettered once in track and field as a member of the 4x800-meter relay team.
PersonalLauren Mei-Lin Frazier is the daughter of David and Janiffer Frazier and she has one younger brother. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
