Biography
2009-10
Seyburn did not play during the first half of her junior season, but went 4-3 down the stretch, playing predominantly at the No. 6 spot. She also finished with a 1-1 mark in the Ivy League. In doubles, she posted a 3-1 record.
2008 -09
Seyburn saw a lot of action from both doubles and singles, where she posted very impressive records. Playing mostly No. 5 and No. 6 singles, she went 5-6 on the year, and she was also 2-2 out of the No. 3 doubles spot. Last fall, she advanced to the C finals of the Cornell Fall Invitations and paired with Julia Loomis to advance to the C flight doubles. She paired with Catherine Duboc at the National Tennis Center Fall Invitational to win three matches, including one against Columbia. She also went 3-1 in singles play with victories over players from Rutgers, Syracuse and Long Island.
At Roslyn
A four-time all-county award winner at Roslyn HS, Seyburn was a two-time captain of her team. She also received all-state recognition three years and was a New York state scholar-athlete all four years of high school.
Personal
Leah J. Seyburn is the daughter of David and Robin Seyburn and has one younger sister. She is enrolled in Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
