2009-10
During her junior season, Dumitrescu played predominantly at the No. 3 doubles position, going 11-8 overall and 3-4 in the Ivy League. She also played singles for the Big Reds, competing in the lower half of the order and posting a 12-6 record overall and a mark of 3-3 against Ancient Eight opponents.

2008- 09
Dumitrescu started the spring season with high expectations, winning three of her first four matches, but an injury against Buffalo on February 21 caused her to miss a good chunk of the season. She was able to return for the Ivy League opener against Columbia, and she was a prominent player on both doubles and singles. She played mostly at the sixth singles position and third doubles for the Big Red. In the fall, Dumitrescu partnered with Sinziana Chis to make it to the semifinals of the A doubles at the Cornell Invitational, and the pair also defeated the No. 2 duo from Syracuse at the Women’s College Invitational and the No. 3 tandem from Michigan State at the Purdue Invitational. In singles, she had a key victory over the No. 5 player from Tulane at the Purdue Invitational.

2007-08
Dumitrescu had an impressive freshman campaign, performing a rare feat by posting winning records in singles, doubles and Ivy League play. For her performance, she was named All-Ivy League Honorable Mention. Dumitrescu led Cornell in wins for both singles and doubles with a 10-5 and 10-6 record, respectively. Showing extreme mental toughness for a freshman, Dumitrescu also went 2-0 in three setters, winning tough matches against both Ohio State and Columbia after dropping the first set in each. During the fall, she compiled a 6-2 singles and 4-3 doubles record. She won the Flight C singles and Flight B doubles at the Cornell Fall Invitational and also made it to the semifinals of the Flight C singles at the Women’s College Invitational.
