At Cornell
Sophomore (2011): Lovejoy saw action in six matches during her sophomore campaign before suffering a season-ending injury. She made one start against North Carolina A&T and finished the year with 10 kills, including a career-high seven against the Aggies. She also tallied five block assists, four digs and one assist during the season.
Freshman (2010): Lovejoy played in nine matches, seeing action in 13 sets during her rookie campaign. She finished the year with seven blocks, four digs, two kills and two service aces.
Prior to Cornell
Lovejoy was a four-time letter winner at Palo Verde High School, where she was a two-time all-conference selection. She helped her team to two Sunset Conference Region semifinalist finishes, one Sunset Region finals appearance and one Sunset Conference finals appearance. Lovejoy also won a NW Sunset League championship as a senior. She won four scholar-athlete awards, as well as her team’s Lady Panther Award as the squad’s best all-around player.
Personal
Ainsley Lynn Lovejoy is the daughter of Beth and Mark Lovejoy and she has one younger brother. Her cousin, Chelsea Rogers played volleyball and basketball at Western Michigan & Ohio Dominican University, while her cousin Bethany Biggs played volleyball at Wheeling Jesuit. Lovejoy is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Lovejoy also played for Club Vegas Volleyball, helping her team to be ranked in the top-50 for four straight years.
