As a senior (2020)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a junior (2019)

• Saw action in five matches as a junior, getting the starting nod against Brown on Oct. 18.
• Registered a kill against Niagara on Sept. 7 and Brown on Oct. 18.
• Had her best game of the season against the Bears, notching two block assists, two digs, and a kill.
• Finished the season with three digs, two kills, and two blocks. 

As a sophomore (2018)

• Played in four matches, seeing action vs. Siena, Dartmouth (9/29), Columbia (10/20) and Penn (11/2).
• Posted a season-high three kills and three block assists vs. Siena.

As a freshman (2017)

• Played in four matches as a rookie, making three starts.
• Finished the year with five kills, five block assists and six digs.
• Tallied a career-high three kills at James Madison.
• Posted three block assists vs. Drake. 

Prior to Cornell

• Madar lettered four times at Hudson High School, serving as team captain as a senior.              
• Was named second-team Suburban League All-Region as a senior.
• Earned first-team Suburban League All-Conference honors as a junior.
• Named to the Ohio Northeast Division 1 District second team as a junior and took home Northeast Ohio All-Conference honors as a sophomore.
• Won the Akron Touchdown Club Volleyball Award in 2015 and 2016 and the Hudson "Explorer" Award for Leadership in 2014.
• As a member of the Academy Volleyball Cleveland club, Madar took 22nd in the 2016 Open Division of the USAV Girls' Junior National Championships, after a fifth place finish in the 2015 Open Division at the USAV Girls' Junior National Championships.
• Madar also played softball for three seasons at Hudson High School.

Personal

• Alena Eilene Madar is the daughter of Mike and Sandy Madar and she has one younger brother and one younger sister.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
