Chris Duenow, the all-time winningest head volleyball coach at Concordia University (Ore.), was named assistant coach at Cornell University in July of 2009.

In his first three seasons with the Big Red (2009-11), he has helped Cornell to a record of 15-60 overall and a mark of 10-42 in the Ivy League. He has helped both Kelly Hansen and Madeleine Przybyl to second-team All-Ivy honors in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

Duenow was the head coach at Concordia for seven seasons, posting a 108-89 record overall and a 73-39 mark in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, including the 2002 league title. That 2002 team went 24-3 overall and posted a perfect 18-0 league mark, extending its conference win streak to 65 regular season victories. The team was ranked as high as No. 10 nationally in the NAIA and fell one game shy of reaching the national tournament. He helped mentor 14 first-team all-league selections, six first-team all-region picks, one All-American and one conference Rookie of the Year.

Duenow joined the Concordia program after spending the 2000 and 2001 seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Virginia. He also served as an assistant at Seattle University during his collegiate coaching tenure.

From 1992-99, Duenow started and developed the Kitsap Juniors Volleyball Club out of SIlverdale, Wash. During his two years at Virginia he was the program director and head coach of the Virginia Volleyball Academy and, most recently, he held the position of technical director for the Nike Northwest Volleyball Club based in Gresham, Ore. Duenow graduated from the University of Washington in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in music education. He was a four-year starter for the men’s club volleyball program, where he trained both as a middle hitter and a setter.
