After playing three seasons for the Big Red, Campbell transitioned into the role of team manager due to injury.
At Cornell
Junior (2011): Campbell saw action in just one match after suffering a season-ending injury against Delaware State. She registered one service ace.
Sophomore (2010): Campbell played in nine matches, seeing action in 19 sets, during her sophomore season. She handed out 29 assists (1.53 per set) and recorded 22 digs (1.16 per set) on the year. Campbell posted a season-high seven assists vs. Siena and followed that up with a season-high eight digs the next day against St. Francis (Pa.).
Freshman (2009): As a freshman, Campbell saw action nine matches, playing in 20 sets. She finished the year with 67 assists, averaging 3.35 assists per set. She reached double-digit assists in three matches, including a career-high 19 vs. Hartford on Sept. 26. Campbell finished the season with 26 digs, four kills, one service ace and one block.
Before Cornell
Campbell was a two-time first-team all-district selection and the recipient of the Wendy's High School Heisman award. She was a two-time member of the Frisco ISD All-Tournament Team and a three-time Academic All-District selection, earning Academic All-State honors as a senior. Campbell served as varsity captain and was the team's most valuable player in her senior season. She was a State Farm Texas Scholar Athlete and was a Dale Hansen Dallas-Fort Worth Scholar Athlete of the Week. Campbell played her club volleyball with the Dallas Synergy Volleyball Club and was teammates with Cornell classmate Lucy Zheng. She helped to lead her club to a top-five finish at the Show Me Qualifier in 2009, the championship of the Omaha President's Day Classic and a top-five finish in the Big South Qualifier in 2008 and a top-five finish at the AAU Junior Beach Volleyball Championships in 2007.
Personal
Sydney Lauren Campbell is the daughter of Dana and Rachel Campbell and has a younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
